Day 3

Geneva - International Monument of the Reformation (Wall of the Reformers), Church of St. Peter (John Calvin) and museum of the Reformation

Walk at the margins of the lake with the famous jet of water

Geneva—Zurich
stop at Bern, the beautiful capital of Switzerland
Bern - High Gardens (Rosengarten) and city centre (Markgasse)

Zurich (Ulrich Zwingli)
Cathedral of the Reformation (Grossmünster), Churches of Fraumünster and St. Pierre

Zurich—Strasbourg
stop at Konstanz Hus Museum (Museum of Jan Hus — c. 1370–1415, precursor of Protestantism). Konstanz (Constance) was the place where Hus was condemned and executed by the Inquisition

Day 7

Strasbourg (John Calvin and Martin Bucer) Gotic Cathedral of Notre-Dame, Maison Kammerzell (medieval), statue of Gutenberg, Eglise du Temple-Neuf, Église Saint-Pierre-le-Jeune

Day 8

StrasbourgHeidelberg
Heidelberg Castle (winery with the world’s largest barrel)
Church of Holy Spirit (Heiliggeistkirche - medieval), University, Old City,
old bridge (Alte Brücke) with a great view of the castle and downtown

Day 9

Heidelberg—Erfurt
Worms - We will pass (without stopping) in the city where Luther was condemned, by the Roman Church, as a heretic

Mainz - We will visit the Cathedral where Luther was ordained, and the Natural History Museum (exhibition on Gutenberg)

Wartburg/Eisenach - We will visit the homes of Luther, Johann Sebastian Bach, and the castle where Luther translated the New Testament to German

Day 10

Erfurt—Wittemberg
Erfurt - Old Town, Germany's largest unique cultural heritage area. Gothic architectural complex (Erfurt Cathedral, St. Severus' and St. Mary's Church, Domplatz), a stop at the Augustinian Monastery where Luther studied

Day 11

Wittemberg—Prague

Wittemberg - Castle Church (Schlosskirche) where the 95 theses were nailed, Luther's House, Melanchthon's House, former Augustinian monastery where Luther lived for 35 years, City Church (Stadtkirche St. Marien) Market Square (Marktplatz)

Dresden - Theaterplatz, Cathedral of Holy Trinity, Frauenkirche

Day 12

Prague

St. Vitus Cathedral, the old St. George's Basilica, the Old Royal Palace, Charles Bridge (Karlův most), and the picturesque Golden Lane. Prague Castle (with spectacular panoramic views of the city from above), Old Town Square (Staroměstské náměstí), the Astronomical Clock, the Church of Our Lady of Týn, and the Jan Hus Memorial

A specialist in the history of biblical interpretation, he studied at universities in the United States and Israel (Andrews University, Princeton, Hebrew University).
I teach courses on the historical, geographical, and literary context of the Bible at the Israel Institute of Biblical Studies since 2014, and have been invited to teach at UNASP (Brazil), Faculdade Internacional Cidade Viva (Brazil), Andrews University, and Duke Divinity School.
I have written articles and book chapters on the Protestant Reformation and the Middle Ages (see below samples).
